AARP is Selling People Out

Published by slbradish at 5:42 pm under Uncategorized Edit This

My mother was a devotee of both the Democrat party and AARP. Not long before she died, she started actually thinking. She would be horrified at what they’re plotting now!

For several years I’ve been getting invitations from AARP to join them. Those letters go into the shredder as fast as possible, I don’t even want their name in my house.

AARP is supporting this obscene health care garbage that the government is trying so hard to force on us. The largest and ugliest impact of this bill will be on senior citizens. Managed health care will be fatal for seniors if they develop even the smallest illness. When you need to see a doctor, waiting a few months shouldn’t have to be an option. Treatment must be immediate for cancer, brain tumors and many other medical emergencies.

By the way, did Ted Kennedy or Chris Dodd go to Europe for their much better medical care? No? That’s strange, isn’t it? You’d think they’d put their lives where their big mouths (and our money) are, wouldn’t you?

Honestly, tailback, why would you listen to anyone who had “tried” and failed every year for 43 years? That should tell you something. If our system is so bad, I ask again, why isn’t he in Canada or the UK for his treatments? Under the B.O. (B.S.) plan he would be offered some pain pills and told to come back in two years.

There are plenty of reasonable and rational ways to bring our prices down, none of which are Teddy or B.O.(B.S.) willing to consider. They want socialized medicine. Period.

As I’ve said before, they carp on the same ideas and accomplish nothing, that is the definition of insanity.

The CBO isn’t conservative. Twice they have put out reports that Obama’s plan isn’t going to work. I tend to take quality anytime over availability. Lower quality health care to make it available to everyone…I’ll pass. We have programs that cover those “45 million uninsured.”

Now, insurance reform…I’m all behind that. More regulations on them and throw in some tort reform. That will not happen because Obama is lawyer-friendly. It is going to be a long month of August.

It might be a pretty long month for the politicians, too! Their constituents aren’t very happy with them and the town hall meetings are gonna be interesting (until they put a stop to them or start violence).
